My mom's wedding ring turned her finger green!...? Is it fake?

Question by Wolfgang M (тор соитяוвυтоя): My mom's wedding ceremony ring turned her finger green!...? Is it fake?
They are now divorced though. For the initial time these days given that I bear in mind, she showed me her wedding ring. She said she has constantly suspected it was a low cost ring. She instructed me my dad stated he invested 15 hundred on it, but it's like a single of individuals rings from the 25 cent machine. Whenever she puts it on, her finger turns green. And it is gold, but you can inform in some spots wherever the gold paint is chipping off, but it is silver beneath, not black. So does this imply it was coated in actual gold, but is sterling silver (or what ever it is known as) beneath, or is it paint? And the diamonds sparkle different colors also much, and the left diamond is kind of loose and looks it would easily arrive out with the tug of some pliers.

Could it be fake? Like a ten$ ring or a fifty cent machine ring? Or do some real rings flip fingers green?
