Does this sound like an allergic reaction or something else? please help!!?

Question by Peanuts lover Evan: Does this sound like an allergic response or a thing else? please assist!!?
So not too long ago I've been trying to get a purity ring and I've purchased a couple of rings from large road merchants for a couple of pounds every, but they by no means very last. They go a reddish color then uninteresting and the base of my finger goes a green colour for a few days soon after taking it off, like a bruise but it isn't a bruise. I don't know if this is an allergic reaction to the metal or because of to the cheapness of the rings, I have assumed about finding a a lot more expensive sterling silver one or perhaps a proper purity ring from a christian web site but if that one particular obtained ruined then I genuinely would be pissed. I am not overly bothered but this could cause long term issues with a wedding ring if it is a response. Is there any treatment if it is an allergy?

The green mark you explain sounds like the mark a brass ring would leave. A low cost brass or base metal ring will react with oils and acids on the skin. The green coloration is corrosion of the metal - the brass equivalent of rust. Sterling silver should not do this, though it may possibly depart a black mark if your skin is extremely acidic, and gold just won't do it.
It's not an allergy. Do not be concerned, and acquire a better quality ring.
