So not too long ago I've been trying to get a purity ring and I've purchased a couple of rings from large road merchants for a couple of pounds every, but they by no means very last. The green mark you explain sounds like the mark a brass ring would leave. A low cost brass or base metal ring will react with oils and acids on the skin. The green coloration is corrosion of the metal - the brass equivalent of rust. Sterling silver should not do this, though it may possibly depart a black mark if your skin is extremely acidic, and gold just won't do it.
It's not an allergy. Do not be concerned, and acquire a better quality ring.
