Any other Catholics out there wear a ring other then a wedding band on their left hand ring finger?

Question by stlcardsgal86: Any other Catholics out there put on a ring other then a wedding band on their left hand ring finger?
I use a sterling silver ring that says Vow of Purity on my left hand in which a normal wedding band would go. A number of of my Catholic close friends do the very same. Some have crosses or diverse sayings on them. I use the Vow of Purity to remind myself to stay abstinent from now right up until marriage. I have some friends Catholic, Protestant and otherwise that assume this strange. I was just wondering if other Catholics or religious men and women do this.
1 buddy asked if I was apprehensive that when my "soulmate" arrived along he would see the ring and figure I was married and depart me alone. I advised him that if that man or woman arrives along God will not let him stroll absent from me. Also I had a pal who wore the ring Each DAY by no means took it off. She took it off one time whilst washing her fingers in a unisex public restroom. The guy that went in soon after her identified it and asked her if it was hers. They have been married for 4 decades! LOL I love my ring. It reminds me that the Lord will supply for me spiritually and if it is in his plans he will see to it that I wear a diverse ring on that finger. Plus, it keeps creepy men who only want sex away from me!
It isn't a wedding ceremony band!

Nuns dress in a ring as married unto Jesus.
