Stainless Steel Ring vs White Gold Ring vs Sterling Silver?

Question by mia7508: Stainless Steel Ring vs White Gold Ring vs Sterling Silver?
I'm seeking for a Celtic wedding ceremony band for my fiance. He's not picky at all, and said he'd like whatever I select out. He doesn't want to spend a lot funds on it, because he doesn't actually care both way.

In the beginning, I was contemplating about finding a sterling silver ring, but I wondered how properly it would maintain up. I have a sterling silver guarantee ring that I wore for 7 many years... it is a small defeat up. I imagined that white gold may put on a minor greater, but it really is rather costly. (Especially given that it's celtic... that looks to up the value rather a bit!)

Do you believe stainless steel would be a very good alternative for us? Does it maintain up properly? Everyone have any key difficulties with it? Can a casual observer make the distinction amongst that and some of the finer supplies? Many thanks!

stainless steel is what your regular flatware that you consume with each day is manufactured of. it holds up properly, but it will dull about time and eliminate its luster. white gold will require polishing and replating every six-12 months, but it will maintain its shine and luster a great deal lengthier since of the constant upkeep. sterling silver will tarnish and just will not hold up like you want it to. I would stick with white gold, even if it looks a minor expensive now - he'll be putting on this for the rest of this life :)
