Q&A: Am I really a racist, because I won't marry a non-white male?

Question by : Am I genuinely a racist, due to the fact I won't marry a non-white male?
I am from California. I've got family members each coloration of the rainbow, ranging from truly pale to dark chocolate brown. Some of my family members have adopted from other countries, while other individuals have married foreigners. To me they are all family members irrespective of where they arrive from or what language they spoke prior to marrying to my family members. I happen to believe that I'm blessed to arrive from these kinds of a various household.

I've constantly been attracted to tall, lanky, geeky, white males with pale hair & eyes. I am not attracted to dark hair or darkish complected men. I have never been. I've met some quite good hunting gentlemen more than the years that weren't caucasian. But they didn't appeal to me on a sexual level. Some of them desired to acquire me out, but I always declined. I am not even attracted to darkish hair, dark eyed caucasian males.

Nowadays me and my brand name new fiance went out and acquired my engagement ring, wedding ceremony ring, and his wedding ceremony at Kay Jewelers! Even though I was there I ran into an previous acquaintance of mine from a long time ago. She and her husband were upgrading her engagement ring. She's married to a very good hispanic guy from Texas. They've been married about 14 or 15 a long time. When we received to conversing she asked me bluntly why I only dated white guys, and I mentioned that it was my preference. Then she gave me this really dirty search, but said absolutely nothing a lot more about it. I then recognized she was thinking that I was a racist for preferring white men above other ethnicities. I am not a racist, and I never will be. I just occur to prefer pale white guys. Is there nearly anything wrong with that?

you must make your feelings evident

individuals dont just request "why do you only date white guys?"
i have in no way ever been asked why is my husband white

producing this plainly obvious may well not make you racist, but it does smack of it tbh
who cares what your preference is, unless you make an issue out of it
and if you do, why do you?
