Can one wear gold engagement and wedding band on one hand and platinum on the other?

Question by brat789456: Can one use gold engagement and marriage ceremony band on one hand and platinum on the other?
I am not style saavy......I'll let you know that right off the bat. I generally choose white gold, platinum or silver jewelry to yellow gold. However my husband didn't recognize this and obtained me yellow gold for my engagement/marriage ceremony band. Not a large offer, but I nonetheless like to wear my grandmother's platinum ring due to the fact it has sentimental appeal to me. Is this okay or is like putting on white footwear just before Easter ) ? I've always heard you don't combine the two, but was hoping possibly the person is a bit previous fashioned.

I also have a favored pair of earrings that are sterling silver that I wear but I experience it isn't that apparent due to the fact its not like they're up coming to every other.

Many thanks!

I say go for it. It it has meaning to you, it doesn't make a difference what it looks like. Maybe down the street, you could always think about changing your wedding ceremony set out, i think you can get them dipped also.
